Terms, refunds and privacy

Effective September 17, 2026. Contact support@mockmaple.com for account, purchase or privacy help.

Practice terms

MockMaple provides original, independent CELPIP-style practice. We are not affiliated with CELPIP, Paragon Testing Enterprises or IRCC. Practice results are not official CELPIP or CLB scores and do not predict an official result.

Listening and Reading show answer accuracy. Writing and Speaking offer automated or self-review guidance that may be incomplete or inaccurate. Consenting adults may also receive an experimental, unofficial Writing estimate when enabled; accuracy has not been independently validated. Timed practice uses our own allocations and media lengths; it is not a validated simulation of official exam duration or difficulty.

New purchases include your selection of 2, 5 or 10 distinct paid tests. Access lasts 90 days from successful payment, with unlimited retries of those tests in complete-test or single-skill practice, in Study or Timed mode. The two free tests are separate. Select your tests before checkout; selections cannot be exchanged after purchase. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. Existing credits retain their original expiry dates: one credit starts one new paid attempt when the test is not covered by active purchased access. Resuming an active attempt in the same mode and skill selection uses no further credit. Prices are in Canadian dollars before applicable tax; the checkout shows the total before payment. Access begins after successful payment processing.

Sign in with Google. Existing users may need to link Google from Account security while signed in. If you cannot access an existing account, contact support; we verify ownership before restoring access. Never send us a Google password, authentication code or complete payment-card number.

Use your own account and original responses. Do not share paid access, redistribute our practice materials, or interfere with other learners or the service. Your own submitted work remains yours.

Refund policy

Practice-pack purchases are non-refundable, including unused test access or legacy credits, except where a refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law. This policy does not limit those rights.

If you see a duplicate charge, missing purchased access or credits or a service problem, contact support@mockmaple.com with your receipt reference and a description. We will investigate and correct confirmed billing or fulfilment errors. Try the free practice before purchasing.

What we collect and why

Google sign-in provides your name, email address and stable Google account identifier. We use these to identify your account and protect access. We store practice attempts, answers, progress, recordings, transcripts, feedback and purchase or credit entitlements so you can practise and review your work.

Speaking recordings are processed on our server to generate transcripts. Automated feedback can make mistakes. Microphone access requires your browser permission. You can use the practice without recording, but Speaking transcription and feedback will then be unavailable.

Adults with a signed-in account may separately opt into an optional Writing assessment. For future Writing practice submitted while that consent is active, TypeSafe AI processes the task prompt and a minimized copy of the response in the United States to support experimental, unofficial Writing estimates and improvement feedback. We remove common direct identifiers such as email addresses, phone numbers, links, network addresses, social handles and Canadian postal codes before transfer, but automated removal cannot identify everything. Do not put real personal or sensitive information in a pilot response. We do not send TypeSafe your MockMaple account, email, purchase, attempt or item identifier. TypeSafe states that it does not use customer input to train or fine-tune models without consent and handles the data as our processor under its customer agreement and data-processing addendum. Provider output is stored with the practice result for evaluation. When enabled, eligible future attempts may show an experimental CELPIP-style Writing estimate and improvement suggestions. These estimates have not been independently validated, can be inaccurate, and do not guarantee an official result. Raw provider probabilities remain private. Earlier private-research consent does not authorize this new use; a new opt-in is required, and historical attempts are not regraded. You may withdraw from future processing at any time in Account settings; withdrawal does not undo processing already completed. The pilot remains inactive unless MockMaple also enables its server-side assessment flag.

Stripe processes payments and billing details. We store payment references and purchase and credit fulfilment records; we do not store full card numbers. Google, Stripe, Microsoft 365 and, only for adults who join the optional Writing assessment, TypeSafe AI process information needed for the described service under their own privacy terms. Support correspondence is stored in our support-request system and may also be handled through Microsoft 365.

We use essential session cookies and browser storage for sign-in, guest practice and draft recovery. Drafts may remain on the device until cleared; use care on shared devices. Help uses your question, a coarse category for the current page, and up to three recent questions to find published guidance. When you are signed in, it may also use the part of a read-only account summary needed for your question: account and first recorded-practice dates, recent attempt state and objective totals, current test access and earlier-credit balance, or support-request status. It does not read answer text, recordings, transcripts, card details, payment-provider identifiers, sign-in credentials, internal staff notes or another learner's information. We do not add a page-by-page visitor history, so activity before an account or recorded practice cannot be reconstructed. Chat transcripts are not saved. When enabled, our server-hosted AI may use the selected public and personal summary facts to explain an answer; linked sources remain available. The separate Report an issue form saves the contact address, category, summary and description you review and submit, along with staff correspondence and operational audit events. Issue details are not sent to the help AI. Signed-in visitors can view their own requests; guest requests are handled through the support mailbox. We use Microsoft 365 to send service emails for a new account, a support receipt, a public reply to a signed-in account, paid-access fulfilment and submitted-practice review. Guest support replies are sent manually from the monitored support mailbox. These messages contain brief status facts and secure site links rather than learner responses, recordings, transcripts, support reply text or payment identifiers. Delivery metadata and queued message content are removed from the mail outbox after 90 days; account deletion removes that account's queued mail records.

Optional analytics helps us understand public-page visits and interest in practice links. It stays off until you select Accept all; selecting Strictly required or closing the initial notice keeps it off. You can change or withdraw your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Your preference is stored in this browser. When enabled, Google Analytics processes technical network and device information and public-page visit and link-selection events. We do not send account identifiers, learner answers, recordings, transcripts or payment details to Analytics. Google Signals, user-provided data collection and automatic enhanced measurement are disabled. Individual event data in Analytics is retained for two months; aggregated reports may remain longer. Google processes analytics information under its privacy terms.

When advertising is configured, Accept all permits one non-personalized Google ad near the footer of signed-out public reading pages. Ads do not appear in tests, results, dashboards, account, support, login, checkout or administration pages. Non-personalized ads use page context and coarse location rather than past browsing interests, but Google may still use storage for frequency controls and aggregated reporting. Strictly required keeps advertising off. We do not send learner responses, recordings, account identifiers or payment details in ad requests.

Only authorized operators may access private information to run the service, investigate a problem or respond to a request. The staff administration system records user-profile views and account-control changes for 12 months; these audit events contain staff and account references and the changed control state, but do not copy learner responses, recordings or transcripts. We do not sell learner responses or recordings. Contact support to request access, correction, an export or deletion; we verify account ownership first. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve an active dispute.

Cookies and browser storage

MockMaple uses four clear categories:

Essential — always active
Secure sign-in and session cookies, a secure guest-practice cookie and abuse-prevention controls make the service work. Disabling these in your browser may prevent sign-in or saved practice.
Functional — active
Browser storage recovers in-progress Writing drafts, practice progress and interface preferences such as the homepage example rotation. This information stays on the device until it expires or you clear browser data.
Analytics — optional
Google Analytics loads only after you select Accept all. Select Strictly required or close the initial notice to keep it off. It measures permitted public-page visits and selected practice links. Analytics storage lasts up to 90 days, while individual event data in Analytics is retained for two months. You can withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawal removes MockMaple Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits.
Advertising — optional when configured
Accept all permits a non-personalized Google ad on signed-out public reading pages. Test and account workflows stay ad-free. Advertising personalization remains disabled. Strictly required prevents ad requests.

Nine-month retention

Speaking recordings, transcripts and associated Speaking feedback expire nine calendar months after upload. After expiry, those materials are unavailable; other saved practice answers and results remain until the account is removed.

Inactive learner and guest accounts become eligible for removal after nine calendar months without activity. Accounts with a valid practice entitlement are retained while that entitlement remains valid. Administrative accounts and records subject to a documented preservation hold are excluded from automatic removal.

For records already present when this policy takes effect, the nine-month clock begins at the retention migration so existing work is not immediately removed. A daily cleanup handles eligible records. Restricted backups age out separately and may retain deleted information for up to 30 additional days. A recovery from backup must reapply expired-data cleanup.

Billing records that must be kept by payment providers or by law follow those requirements. Unresolved support requests are retained while the team handles the issue. Resolved requests, their messages and audit events become eligible for deletion nine calendar months after resolution. Requests on a documented preservation hold are excluded. Removing an inactive account unlinks its support requests; correspondence follows this separate support retention period. Contact us if you want deletion sooner or need to keep an export.
