What should an existing participant do?

Four skills

Practise what you need

Every complete test covers Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — everyday Canadian English situations, not generic stock drills.

Listening

Replay conversations, read transcripts and see why each answer fits.

Reading

Keep source text beside connected questions and answer reviews.

Writing

Draft emails and survey responses with task criteria and examples.

Speaking

Record eight task types, replay audio and review a transcript when available.

Two practice modes

Learn at your pace or against the clock

Same tasks in either mode — pick what fits the session.

Study mode

Work without a timer

  • Replay Listening and read its transcript.
  • Move back and revisit answers.
  • Open explanations, guides and examples.

Timed mode

Rehearse the test pace

  • Follow the task sequence and time limits.
  • Practise Speaking prep and response windows.
  • Review answers and recordings after submit.

Timed mode limits replay and returning to earlier parts. Some Listening discussions use simple animation.

After the test

Review, then improve one thing

Return to the source, compare your response with the task, and choose one detail to improve next time.

See worked response examples
  1. Check your choices

Listening and Reading show answer-key accuracy beside the source material.

  2. Look at your response

Read Writing and Speaking work; replay saved audio when available.

  3. Try one focused revision

Use guides and examples to clarify one idea or detail in your next session.

Questions

What learners ask before starting

Can I try MockMaple for free?

Yes. Two free tests cover all four skills. Choose a complete test or focus on Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking. No account or credits are needed to begin.

Should I choose Study or Timed mode?

Choose Study when you want to replay, move back and read explanations while learning. Choose Timed when you want to rehearse the sequence with preparation and response windows. Timed mode restricts replay and backward navigation; review becomes available after submission.

Will I get a CELPIP or CLB score?

No official score. Listening and Reading show answer-key accuracy and may show a MockMaple practice band estimate. Eligible signed-in Writing and Speaking attempts may show an experimental estimate when enabled; otherwise they provide self-review guidance. These estimates have not been independently validated against official CELPIP or CLB scoring.

What do I need for Speaking practice?

Use a browser with microphone recording support and allow microphone access. You can replay a saved recording after submission. In Study, an audio-file upload is also available. If transcription is unavailable, use the saved audio for self-review.

How are practice sets organised?

Each practice set groups two tests in one place, along with saved attempts and study resources. Choose 2, 5 or 10 individual paid tests across any sets, with 90-day access and unlimited retries. The two free tests are separate; existing credits keep their original terms.
